Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation
Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation was founded in 1975. SCEDC is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership corporation organized to assist Sarpy County and Greater Omaha growth through recruitment and development of commercial and industrial enterprises.
To grow and diversify Sarpy County through recruitment, expansion and development of industrial and service enterprises – creating new employment opportunities, capital investment and a broader tax base.
SCEDC is a cooperative venture between the county’s public and private sectors, which includes members from throughout Sarpy County and Greater Omaha. A board of directors governs the organization with meetings once a month to provide direction and leadership to the organization. The SCEDC staff is housed at the Greater Omaha Chamber, contributing to a regional economic development effort for Sarpy, Douglas, Washington and Cass counties.
