About Grow Sarpy

Our Story

Grow Sarpy, formerly known as Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation, is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership corporation and was formed on June 12, 1975 with the purpose to promote economic development in Sarpy County. Funded by Sarpy County and all five of its cities, utility partners and the business community Grow Sarpy works to attract, retain, and expand businesses to Sarpy County.  On September 19, 1991, Grow Sarpy became the first economic development organization to partner with the Omaha Chamber thus creating the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership. With this partnership, Grow Sarpy has been able to expand the level of service that we provide throughout Sarpy County by working side by side with the Partnership’s Client Services, the Reach Program, Greater Omaha Worklab (GrOW) and Partner County teams.
